The GTEL-UFC is a research center with knowledge about wireless telecommunications and provides this knowledge in technical and scientific partnerships with public and private entities, notably through research and development projects.

Antennas and Transceivers

It studies the propagation phenomena and how they impact on the performance of the transmission and reception equipment of radio waves; It evaluates the performance of wireless technologies in different environments, such as in large cities, within buildings and football stadiums.

Signal Processing

It is the study of digital coding of audio and video signals, as well as information from the Internet, and its processing so that they become robust for interferences and noises inherent to wireless communication systems.

Radio Resource Management

It is the study of spectrum sharing and infrastructure of mobile telephony networks, including the optimized positioning of antennas in cities and the control of the transmission power of the cell phone aiming to improve the quality perceived by the end user.
