The book has just been released mobile cellular communication (publisher Elsevier, 376 pages, R $179.91), authored by Professors Rodrigo Porto Cavalcanti, Tarcísio Ferreira Maciel, Walter da Cruz Freitas Junior and Yuri Carvalho Barbosa Silva, members of the group of Research in Wireless Telecommunications (GTEL), Federal University of Ceará. The book is a contribution from GTEL to undergraduate teaching in telecommunications engineering and related areas. ” It expresses the integrated and systemic vision that we have in GTEL about mobile cellular technologies, anchored in years of research and in direct and indirect interaction with industry and the market, “says Prof. Rodrigo on the work. According to him, the authors have taken into account that the undergraduate student will have contact with the subject for the first time. “Thus, a concern was to score the text with examples and case studies that enable a practical view, a link between theory and the state of practice, allowing a less abstract perception of the concepts”.
The book presents information such as history and evolution of cellular mobile technology from 1G to 5G; Cellular telephony Systems (GSM, HSPA and LTE); Antennas, propagation of electromagnetical waves and their biological effects; Network planning Fundamentals; Transmission in multiple carriers and multiple antennas; business aspects, regulatory; and management of the radio spectrum.
WHERE to BUY The book is now available for sale in physical and online bookstores. It can also be acquired at the secretariat of the GTEL, at the Campus of Pici Prof. Prisco Bezerra (Block 722), in Fortaleza.
